I could look at this Juan Sánchez Cotán still life for a long time (and indeed have). If there was one painting that made me see the point of still life this was it, when I can across it in a temporary exhibition in Amsterdam some years ago... certainly odd, but also strangely beautiful (on a cold Friday night)
