For some reason, the next 5 days are packed with trade shows. Today it M. Touton ... it was super crowded and hard to work the room because of their split between DC/MD and Va (those franchises can really mess up who sells what in which state). But still, there was plenty of great wine on offer!

2004 Lan. Sadly this one got lost in the back of the cellar and is a few years past its prime. Lots of changes going on within the Sherry Council (Consejo Regulador) including the expansion of the Sherry Triangle, an area that, until now, was the only place that sherry wines could be officially produced, aged and bottled. The new expansion includes 6 more towns, which is good news for the producers, but it does leave us in a bit of a quandary as to how to refer to the region now. The Sherry Anvil? 🥂
