Awhile back I made a strong #liqueur by soaking about 1.5 cups of frozen #raspberry pieces in a similar amount of cheap #vodka with perhaps 1/2c of granulated cane #sugar, all in a canning jar in my #liquor cabinet.
On this super-hot afternoon I poured two ounces of the lovely red raspberry liqueur into a #highball glass full of #IceCubes and chased it with an ounce or so of #cheap American #whiskey. Topped off the glass with #SparklingWater for an utterly delightful strong #summer #cocktail.

Do I know anyone who has a sparkling water tap in their house? I drink a LOT of sparkling water, exclusively from cans at the moment. All told, it's easily $1000+ a year. So I thought maybe I'd get a sparkling water setup for the house. The least expensive option I've found (without resorting to something like a sodastream) is about $1500. The problem is, it uses a cold plate, which I don't want to have to deal with. Yes, I drink a lot of water, but not enough that constantly having to refill the ice for the chill plate is worth it..
I looked at units with remote chillers, but then the prices jump to $3000+ .. Is there a reasonably priced option out there? I'd like something I can mount on the counter and hide the rest of the system underneath rather than having a bigger unit on the counter taking up space.. Counter space in this location is at a premium.
