Since being back from sabbatical/“vacation”, I have:
1) Switched my main pc over to #Debian from Windows 11
2) Switched my kiddo’s all in one over to #SparkyLinux from Arch
3) Switched my @PINE64 #RockPro64 over to #TwisterOS from Batocera Linux
4) Been warned by my wife to not touch her laptop 🫠

Im gonna pimp my kiddo’s computer with #SparkyLinux “GameOver” edition. Hopefully this works in my favor 🤞

Indeed, i also adopted some of that same logic, for not entirely dissimilar reasons.

My tower is dual-boot. Primary, being my daily driver, is #Arch #KDEPlasma. Secondary, has varied over the years, but for a couple of years now is #SparkyLinux Testing/Semi-Rolling #Cinnamon. I specifically went for a Debian there, knowing i'd hardly be using this secondary-boot, ie, long time between doing updates, & so didn't want something that was "time-sensitive fragile" [looking at you, Arch keyring!]. I weakened though & just could not bring myself to go full Debian Stable 😜

My laptop has had numerous penguins over the years, including various rollers, but i reached the point a few years ago that i did not wanna have to be maintaining rollers on *both* pooters anymore, so i most recently took lappy towards the more conservative side too. Secondary boot is #MXLinux #Xfce [ie, frozen in amber, heehee], whilst primary atm is #Fedora #Xfce+#KDE [ie, again, my despair over ancient pkgs stopped me going "full stable"].

Eins läuft mit RaspberryPi Desktop + #SparkyLinux @SparkyLinux im Dualboot und eins mit #Q4OS TDE

Damit sind sie trotz wenig RAM für bestimmte Zwecke noch gut zu gebrauchen und relativ flott.

@Johto If you're feeling adventurous, you could install both, by converting your pooter to dual-boot,with separate partitions for each distro's root & home, + a shared data partition if you like. I've done this for years, & it works well. Then, if maybe i feel like "a change is as good as a holiday", i reboot from my usual #Arch #Plasma, into my #SparkyLinux #Cinnamon, spend a few days or weeks there, & later when i feel like it, reboot back to :arch: :plasma: Cake, eat.

Fwiw, i would be potentially interested in converting my #dualboot tower [#ArchLinux #KDEPlasma + #SparkyLinux #Cinnamon; shared LUKS-data partition] to #tripleboot by adding #Fedora, but i'm unwilling to bother, as i do not trust #Anaconda to handle it. IMO it's always been a HUGE turnoff for Fedora.

Je pense que je vais laisser tomber LinuxMint pour adopter #SparkyLinux avec LXQt.
Simple, léger, avec un pack d'apps de base suffisant pour faire un peu de tout (surtout celles que j'utilise couramment).
Seul regret, l'affichage est toujours sous X11 et pas (encore) Wayland.
