1) #Shortread data is adequate for exploring the spatio-temporal dynamics and community composition at higher taxonomic levels (Fig 1), but not at lower levels as primer biases start to emerge (Fig 4)

Based off finding 1, it should be possible to combine #16S rRNA data even when different 16S rRNA primers were used when exploring #spatio-temporal patterns.
