FedSearch - Federated network search engine

Synopsis: A #Halo inspired #HardSciFi world that I originally intended for a video game. It's entire premise is centered around the question: "What would really happen if humans and aliens found themselves in competition?"

It'll feature some #SpecBio as well to create a believable alien race for the setting.

Might adapt for use with #Traveller.

OK, since we ended the last poll on a 50-50 split, guess it's time to just list my projects and see which one takes the prize.

First up:

LABOR - a #Halo inspired, #HardSciFi setting about a first-contact war between humans and aliens.

Lancer - unraveling the science behind #Lancer's worldbuilding.

Urd - #SpecBio project in the form of in-universe documentation.

Endless Space - a #Starfinder setting modeled after the Endless Universe by Amplitude Games.

The Everglades are a remote outpost of the Neotropics, that most Neotropical fauna did not reach. Seems to me its an atypical situation, where many introduced species just 'fit in' with limited impacts. Thus the Burmese python occupies now, a vacant guild. One wonders if future pythons in North America, will begin to converge upon the anacondas, Eunectes, their closest South American analogs, in swamp living adaptations, such as dorsal repositioning of the eyes.

Despite looking like fish, Whorlites are paramamals and the closest relatives of the Devitite. When their arboreal ancestor left the trees, Devitites adapted for speed and intelligence, while Whorlites filled the niche of large ocean predator.

SCAUR
Another alien from Helio, this one has convergently evolved to fill the same niche as giraffes. They are a staple food for the Devitites, however they are dificult for the Sapsys, who are native to the north pole, to take down.

One of the alien species that lives on Helio. Its name is a misnomer, as they actually prefer to live in muddy swamps and rivers, and were first sighted by Sapsys along the coast.

Writing an #introduction , but as a heads up I might redo it when it isn't 2am for me, lol.

Hi! I'm Xeno, I'm a 22 year old #queer adult who is VERY new to all this. I wasn't very active on Twitter or Instagram or whatever other social media I had been peer pressured into as a teenager, so this is kind of my step into new waters entirely.
