The world change, and you never know when that thing is going to get obsolete or vanish. And I think you can apply this to many things from relationships to skills.

A great organization can only handle a certain amount of mono-specialization.

I often hear some pretty reactionary stuff from fellow anarchists, always couched as being anti-capitalist but actually a toehold of the an-prim wing of fascism.
The worst of them is: "specialization is capitalist and therefore bad".
Specialization is better known as "knowledge and expertise". Blind rejection of specialization is blind rejection of people who have more experience than you do.
