I just registered for my first World Cube Association competition so I can wow everyone with my 90-second solve time. But mostly just to see what a competition is like.

I have a month to try to get it down to 89 seconds.

I'm watching the last couple episodes of Extraordinary Attorney Woo and they introduce a new character first seen with a #speedcube. And it's a real stickerless cube, not a crappy official Rubik's cube. But then I think, well, this is just a standard use of the cube as shorthand for "this character is a stereotypical nerd."

But wait! He has a least two cubes on his nightstand! Ok, we're getting somewhere.

And then he walks by this wall display in his bedroom.

I never regretted something so much than the moment I decided to do some rotations on the puppet cube.

1 seul sub-20, 3 sup-30, 10 entre 25 et 30.
4 erreurs de CMLL, 2 FB avec une arête mal orientée.
Bref, y a du boulot…

I solved the ivy cube (upper right) and rhomboid last night. I'm about halfway through the purple ghost cube until I mess up and have to start over, which is likely. That one is theoretically like a standard cube except for masochists. I didn't even notice that I was still working on it until after midnight.

The tangram (lower right) will be the most difficult by far, I think.
