When the #EllenPao debacle hit #reddit I turned a blind eye to a lot of repugnant vitriol because I figured "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

@techcelt @kbin @lemmy I've been on @lemmy since the #spez fiasco and I'm telling you, it's the new front page of the Internet. No question. Federated media is what the internet was designed for.

@citrus_marine it's very like #reddit. You can join an instance that has stuff you like and just read 'local'. Or you can select 'all' and you get the whole federated content (that your site chooses to federate with). If there's stuff missing you can join more than one instance, have multiple accounts etc. I'm using Jerboa to browse #lemmy and haven't even looked at #reddit since #spez destroyed it with that API pricing. Try it out, it's the future of the Internet!

Hearing #reddit in discussion with mods to make API pricing more affordable.. meanwhile #lemmy breaking 2.5 million users yesterday. Sorry, #spez I hate to say it but
