Been working hard inputting more titles to IndieStoryGeek.com and I'm about halfway through the current batch of #SPFBO books! By the time I'm done, Indie Story Geek will have nearly 5000 #SelfPublished #SmallPress and #WebSerial stories listed across a wide range of fiction genres, which is incredible.

I also recently realized that paperbacksandfrybread.com has a whole Indie section, so I've been adding those to Indie Story Geek too, linking back to their site for the buy link.

The Revenge of Bridget Cleary chronicles the (fictional) aftermath of the (real life) murder of Bridget Cleary, whose husband murdered her because he thought she was a fairy.

I learned about Bridget doing family history. 😱

In my next #indieauthor interview with an entrant into #SPFBO I meet up with Mathilda Zeller who talks about her book, 'The Revenge of Bridget Cleary'.

We chat about the challenges of bringing up 6 kids while developing a writing career as well as a fascinating personal history.

What's happening, friends?

My big news for this week so far is that I *finally* got an appointment for Monday to talk to the surgeon about my crappy [pun fully intended] procedure I had last Friday. I already know the diagnosis because I looked at the operative report, but I need to know his insight and what the next steps are.

Also, I got up extra early [for me] yesterday so that I could throw In Sleep You Know into the #SPFBO ring. Because... why tf not, eh. Live bold and all that.

The Thirteenth Hour by TrudieSkies

I LOVED THIS BOOK.
A truly innovative fantasy which was a finalist in this year's #SPFBO competition.
(The contest is transforming the fantasy writing genre, despite traditional publishing).

Originality comes in the form of its central premise, its characters and especially its world building.

Beautifully told, filled with a careful balance of light and darkness. Plus snarky humour too.
