I couldn't even look that far into it unless it was accessible.

However I'd love to see workshops and presentations that target different skill levels. I'm mostly a knitter, but would be really interested in trying out things like spinning, weaving and dyeing with a big outlay.

I'd also be really interested in presentations on different fibre characteristics and how they impact different projects and uses as well as ethical and environmental impacts.

So, question for #spinning and #spinners on Mastodon.
I'm a new beginner, I don't expect to be good at it yet, but I'm impatient.
The spin seems to always be getting into the loose fiber, sending that into a tangle and it's like I'm making one giant woolly sausage. How do I avoid that? I'm pinching it well before that spot, but it doesn't seem to matter. I'm trying to draft but it's twisted so it won't and... well it's frustrating and I'm not sure what I should do differently. Any advice?

If any #spinners out there have tips for drafting Tussah silk sliver without it getting everywhere I would love to hear. First time not working with sticky wool

weekend. It was 4 hours of positivity and fiber. I got to spend time with Natural Dyers, #Spinners, #knitters, #crocheters, #weavers
I would, however, like to see the demographics of the group expand a bit and need to figure out how to do that.

A while back I published a #Golang package that provides multi-line #spinners for #commandline apps.

A few great packages exist but none seemed to support multi-line capabilities.

I thought I’d give it a shot for fun and it turned in to something cool.
