An update on the painting! Gonna map out the colours I want before tackling any shading, unless I want a massive blue splodge!

Day 5 #JURASSICWORLDDOMINION Advent calendar
A #spinosaur makes its appearance, Suchomimus! A #dinosaur that was mentioned exactly once in the film series, in the dumbest of the 3 original films.

So #Spinosaurus serendipitously stole the spotlight simultaneously to a scenic tour I took on a #steamtrain! Dinosaurs may not have roared, but I imagine a hiss powered by the lungs of a 7-ton #spinosaur wouldn’t sound too dissimilar to a vintage #locomotive blowing off steam. It would make for a pretty intimidating threat display! Too bad sound design is too niche for a #TetZooCon workshop…

Another #sauropod for sauropods.win - Nigersaurus was a rebbachisaurid diplodocoid from the mid #Cretaceous Elrhaz Formation of Niger. It was small for a sauropod - similar in body size to an elephant. The muzzle was very wide, and all the teeth were aligned along the very front edge of the jaws in a straight line. No other #dinosaur (maybe no other #tetrapod?) has this configuration. Nigersaurus lived alongside the big #spinosaur Suchomimus and the big crocodylomorph Sarcosuchus. #palaeoart
