Finally, some good #outdoors time! Overnighted on Skjaldbreiður with some friends 🗻
We wanted to go with mountain skis / #splitboard, but there was too little snow in the valley, and we couldn't get close enough by car to carry 'em.
Great two days nevertheless! My new equipment kept me very warm.

The pine tree realized it was about to be jumped as it looked up when asked "you ain't from round these parts is ya?" and noticed it was surrounded by some birch trees in a bad birch neighborhood.

I finally managed to get a couple of powder runs on my new #splitboard in the #swissalps this season. We went to the top of the Blüemberg (2404m).
The conditions were great at the top! However not enough snow in the lower layers with rocks hidden below a very thin layer of snow.

Some Meyers locals are bringing back the Tahoe Splitfest 2/10-2/12 in South Lake Tahoe. The snow has been awesome recently…so the website isn’t live yet (ski bums!) but should be up soon. I will be discussing snow & avalanche conditions one of the evenings. Expect equipment demos, a raffle, and stinky boots. They are on IG @tahoesplitfest for updates.

For years I have been (happily) using a happy hacker 2 keyboard. Lately though I've been thinking of picking up (or making!) a split ortholinear board. I hear they're better for the wrists or something :-) Does anyone have any advice on finding or assembling a split ortho board? My hardware skills are meagre at best.
