Jensen Ackles: We make art and we don't tell people how to interpret it.

I'm really digging the actors' embrace of Death of the Author. It's to their credit that fans see so much of themselves in the characters; Dean's been bisexual, he's been trans, he's been a woman, he's been a World War One infantryman. It's something truly special that these characters connect with fans in such individual and personal ways, and none of us are wrong.
