In #Folklore, the two #Plants were most #Powerful during #Winter when they #Denied #Wicked #Spirits a #Place to #Rest. In the #Cold months, #Evil rode the harsh #Winds & #Whistled in the driving #Snow.
And so #Sprigs of holly & ivy were used to #Decorate tables, #Mantles, #Doors & #Windows, #Blanketing the #Family in an extra #Layer of #Protection.
