Speaking of security cams I was just reminded of when I went to Taipei as part of a diplomatic delegation, my hotel room bathroom had the oddest little sort of 5 or 6-inch video monitor in it. It didn't seem to turn on at all. A cable that you couldn't disconnect was going from it through the countertop into the wall below.
