How tall do I come across as in my toots?

Is there something like AWS #SQS but self hosted, #openSource, and lightweight? I just want to put calls coming in through a #webhook into a #queue so they can be retried/replayed if they fail.

I'm probably going to use #Redis, but I don't need to keep everything in-memory. I'm wondering if there are any other options.

Here is a little video from the European #XFEL and the #SQS beamline, where we are finally measuring sea spray particles with Arctic sea water collected during #ARTofMELT2023. This is a fantastic facility with a great team and excellent support. Can't wait to see and discuss results!

So I have that webhook2sqs #python #lambda feeding data onto #AWS #SQS that #eventdriven @ansible can pull from. I use this event info to run a graphql query to fill some gaps in the data from the event and generate some helpful alerts

I cannot express how happy I am to see that #AWS has created a new way to limit the number of concurrent #Lambda invocations from an #SQS source without using reserved concurrency. I had a long conversation with a solution architect at re:Invent about this exact issue.

We have #GuardDuty -> #sns -> #sqs -> #lambda

The lambda decodes the and sends to slack. We add a priority ( adding !here or !channel etc) based on the Guard Duty levels. I think we filter a couple out. We have the option to send to a #PagerDuty email as well.

We're a pretty small(ish) startup so we don't have a SOC etc, just a couple of people hanging out in slack :sadglasses:
