Digital payments company Square, now known as Block, and everything they run is down since Thursday afternoon. That includes the popular CashApp.
A lot of people's money frozen in place. Can't receive direct deposit, debit card not working.
Many businesses use Square to process. Also down.
18 hours now. Many people don't have other banking options.

maybe it's also a place to allow for partial credit trash magic (for example, using a found/donated/upcycled printer ..or square-to-square copying (leaving it exposed in the sun with a heat-based dye, maybe?)
..if a square has been Sharpied, is there an easy way to copy that, by transferring the ink, maybe?
another possibility: take a photo of the square, do something based on that (?)
