I accidentally canceled my internet a day early, but it meant a chance to visit the lovely Squirrel Hill branch of the library and Commonwealth Coffee once more. Squirrel Hill really is My Neighborhood. I wish I could just take it with me.

Any recommendations for a #csa with pickup in/near #squirrelhill in #pittsburgh for 2023? I first used Penn's Corner, which stopped during the pandemic; their web site implies CSA existence now but doesn't allow signup, so maybe vapor or maybe too early. Last year I used Food Rescue 412's "ugly CSA", which isn't running this year. A friend recommended Cherry Valley Organics, also not running in 2023. I can order specific produce from e.g. Harvie Farms, but enjoy the curated mix of a CSA box.

I don't like tagging things as #hatecrimes because that's trying to assess the mental state of the perpetrator, and courts stink at mind reading. But when you go to a place where #lgbtq people are known to congregate, on an occasion such as #TransDayOfRemembrance which they are quite likely to observe, and you have violent intent, that's not a fucking coincidence. That's what happened to my tribe at #SquirrelHill.
