Ich habe den Eindruck, dass viele da ihre Hausaufgaben nicht machen und sich nur aus den Medien über den Klimawandel informieren – das darf nicht sein.
M.: Warum haben Sie diesen Eindruck?
S.: Ich forsche schon 30 Jahre lang und beteilige mich an öffentlichen Diskussionen zur #Klimakrise. Ich hätte mir nicht vorstellen können, dass nach Jahrzehnten Klimadebatte das allgemeine Wissen auch unter den Entscheidern immer noch so begrenzt ist."

Meine e-Petition im Bundestag, dass ein Pflicht-Vortragstag zum #SR15 gehalten wird, wurde 2019 nicht mal zur Mitzeichnung zugelassen. Der Brief vom Petitionsausschuss erklärte, MdB dürfe man nich vorschreiben, womit sie sich informieren.

Un détail: même si les partis conservateur peuvent soutenir les politiques climat dans certains pays, les partis de gauche ont tendance à adopter des positions plus favorables au climat, et ça va généralement encore mieux lorsqu'il y a davantage de verts au parlement 😅

Wieviele Menschen bei 1.5C, bei 2C und 3ºC
"exposed" und wieviele "exposed and vulnerable" sein können, fasst Tabelle 3.4 in IPCC #SR15 Kapitel 3 zusammen. Vulnerable = kein Geld-Puffer = kann uU. nicht mal fliehen. !Bis! 2ºC wächst diese Zahl der Exposed&Vulnerable peu à peu bereits auf über 500mio an. Und je nach betroffenem Staat/Region destabilisieren diese, und dann die globale Ordnung.

BIS 2ºC werden schon > 500Mio wg Klimafolgen heimatlos (~2050).

One key number - the #CO2Budget for max 1.5C warming in #SR15 Tab2.2 Ch2 p108 [2] at 67% probability: from 1 Jan 2018 the remaining budget was 420 Gigatonnes net CO2 equivalent. But we add 42+-3 GtCO2/year:
