Ok, so I just had my #GCS today, done by Dr. Bank of the Suporn Cloninc in Chonburi, Thailand. Too early to tell, but I am very happy that I went for it.

I had been installing the alpha and beta prerelease APKs from github for a while for the V3 scheduler support and the other new features like improved sync also felt very nice. With scoped storage out the way after 3 years I hope new releases will become more common again. I have been using #Anki for almost 10 years and it's really nice to see the community being so active.

Yes, but i simply LOATHE the pejoratively dismissive prejudicial way in which advocates of this policy, in various Strayan states & territories, + [afaik iirc] in Scotland etc, insist on portraying / demonising actual #SRS. For many of us, merely getting our paperwork changed is NOT ENOUGH. We in fact DO ***need*** our physical bodies to be adjusted to properly align with our strongly-held emphatically-sensed #GenderIdentity.

So, a big yay that this state legal change will help to improve lives for some of my #Trans cousins. However, pls STOP dissing #SRS & associated matters for those of us who implicitly, implacably, incontrovertibly, need much more than paperwork.

I can readily empathise with women who are unfortunate enough to suffer this nasty condition. I am not saying it's the identical thing/cause, but otoh i do suspect the resultant symptoms are similar.

Learning how to perform #dilation, three+ times daily, in the early days & weeks after #SRS, can be a very tricky, indeed bloody painful, experience for many "newly post-op" #transwomen. As new owners of #NeoVaginas, notwithstanding how strong & long desired such goal was, that set of varying-diameter #stents can look intimidating if not simply terrifying! 😱

For some "newly post-op" #transwomen, it can be a major battle of the mind, as well as body, to be able to will one's never-before-used-in-this-way #PelvicFloorMuscles to relax & allow the neo-vagina to accept those scary stents. It's such a welcome relief once one has managed to tick this box. 😌

I had the good fortune for this to be only a short-term temporary issue for me [phew!] "back in the day", but unhappily for many of my "fellow traveller friends" back then it was a really bad problem that severely inhibited, in some cases entirely prevented, them being able to dilate. That's a big problem which was critical to overcome, lest the neo-vagina not "embed" & heal correctly, & thereby endanger the whole longer-term viability. I saw the massive distress this caused for several of my friends back then; simultaneously acutely aware of the criticality of dilating, yet psychologically blocked from doing so, with the result of substantial physical as well as emotional pain.

Hence, each time i read / hear stories of women suffering #vaginismus i feel immense sorrow & empathy for them, & hope that they can find a pathway.

Hola #trans mastodon. Anyone able to recommend surgeons for vaginoplasty who have less strict BMI restrictions than in the UK? I'm dieting etc. but realistically I don't think I'm going to be able to get down to the 70-80kg range they want. My current BMI is 40.

Not trying to alter your decision; this is merely a narrow-focused comment on that quote, fyi.

That seems to be a common myth in the #Pre-Op #SRS #transwomen "community". Maybe it was, once, or maybe it might still apply to some techniques other than yours, but based only on my own personal experience, it's not so.
