We are lucky to have Diego (@dalonsoa) collaborating once more with us at the
#SRUKCERUBlog! This time, he talks about his personal experience as an #SRUKCERU volunteer since he joined the Society in... 2016! It is definitely a post worth reading for anyone who has ever wholeheartedly volunteered to be a very active member of a scientific society.

The last #SRUKCERUBlog post of the year is written by Dr Carmen Sánchez (@carmen_agro on Twitter). She has reviewed the past, present, and future of #agriculture while highlighting the potential (and current challenges) of using #SoilBacteria as #BiologicalFertilisers. As a rusty biochemist, I really enjoyed reading her summary about the #nitrogen cycle while editing her post!

I rarely get to read and edit posts for our #SRUKCERUBlog that talk about #OSS or computational tools. This month, however, I got lucky! Thanks to Dr Diego Alonso (@Dalonsoa in Twitter) for gifting us with such an enlightening post!

Hi everyone!
For those who do not know me, a quick #Introduction :)
I am a postdoc at Ziheng Yang lab (UCL) and I am using and/or developing computational methods to infer evolutionary timelines with #molecular and/or #morphological quantitative data. I always do my best to ensure that all my tools are well documented and users can get reproducible results.
Non-academia: Ashtanga, piano, and volunteering at SRUK/CERU (current Press Director, Web Manager, and Co-EIC of the #SRUKCERUBlog).
