Pour la partie données partagées (films, séries, musique), là encore on fait simple avec du #sshfs et des clefs privée.
Il ne faut pas oublier d'ajouter le montage du volume distant dans le .bashrc de chaque utilisateur sur chaque ordi (on en a deux à la maison, ça reste gérable à la mano).

Hat noch jemand bei #hetzner in #nürnberg Probleme mit dem Zugriff per #sshfs auf die #storagebox in #falkenstein ? Von deren anderen Standorten habe ich keine Probleme:
Bei mir hängt unregelmäßig der Mount (hilft nur noch ausschalten und wieder einschalten 🥺) oder Zugriffe (ls, find, …), die vor Anfang August schnell waren, dauern nun oft einige Sekunden 🤷🏻‍♂️

Solution: restart broken #SSHFS shares, and then connect an external display from another computer.

It feels like performing a magical ritual to appease the silicon gods. The system as a whole has failure modes which don't make sense in light of its purpose.

NFS has locked up my system in the past whenever it would lose a connection---not sure why.

I might use sshfs for simple single user usage, especially if I already have an SSH connection. Seems like it would inherit the security from the SSH/SFTP connection.

From what I see, #sshfs is getting some love from the community since it was archived in 2022-05-26. There is a fork that is focused on fixing bugs and merging PR (maintaining the current software), and there is also an effort to port the software in #Rust. I think these people can get some extra help from the community, especially the Rust fork which has came a long way.
