#PS2 with #SSX Tricky connected to a 1080P with the red/white/yellow. Image good.
Connected with HDMI adapter, image resized itself from FULL to (I think 4:3). Image a little sharper.

Same PS2 connected to a 4k TV with same HDMI adapter. No image size changes made. Image looks a little oversharpened but still good.

In both with HDMI and actually playing - image was good.

Will try 3 / On Tour tomorrow.

Last played March 2012!

Realised I still had the previous TV with the yellow/white/red inputs. Connected the #PS2 and got #SSX Tricky running.
I remember so much of the game routes!
Now I’ll go back and compare HDMI output.

At worst I'll just set up the old TV next to the new and hook up the Gamecube, the OG Xbox along with the PS2.

Almost bought a #PS5, decided not to.
Pondered a new PC gfx card, decided not to.
Instead I made a MUCH better decision.

I bought a #PS2 TO HDMI connector.
WHY?

If you’ve played those you’ll agree it was the better purchase.

If you enjoyed #SSXTricky on #PS2 and #SSX on #PS3 then Ubisoft's #RidersRepublic on #PS4 and #PS5 sucks. BIG TIME.

I noticed last night that it is on sale, and after reading reviews I bought into it.

Sadly, it is a big disappointment.

It tries really hard to catch the SSX3 vibe (and THPS for that matter) with both music and sound effects but it just horribly bad.

The controls suck, the cutscenes are corny and character animations are dumb.

Better off spending your money on something else.
