This was on the gate at UAF's Large Animal Research Station. We came to pay a visit to the muskoxen (naturally).
Closure no big deal for locals - we can come back another day - but not true for the out-of-town folk we chatted with at the fence. They missed out.

Do not confuse short-staffed and understaffed.

Short-staffed is when two people call out sick unexpectedly, or someone is fired for cause. It is expected to a very short term interruption of smooth operations.

Understaffed is when someone decides that the work of ten people can be done by six people. There is no plan to hire anyone to alleviate the stress and increased workload.

Checking I have this right - the UK gov won’t give NHS workers a raise because there is a #CostOfLivingCrisis they created with #Brexit causing severe #StaffingShortages as many of our brilliant staff are from abroad and no one wants to go into the med field because of low pay, which has now created a #HealthCareCrisis due to lack of staff so many work overtime and do their best to treat patients in car parks… but we are punishing NHS staff???
