I wonder if there is anyone here at the #StaffPlus conference and here on Mastodon too.

Maybe we can make it be like it was for, say, RubyConf 2006, back when "social media" was just IRC channels. That was a fun time. (Remember caboose, anyone here?)

I guess it's appropriate to feel nostalgic while at a conference for people who have 15 years of experience or more.

Spending the day at #StaffPlus, a conference for old engineers. Did I say old? Sorry, I meant experienced.

It's actually my first conference without Twitter, which feels weird. Even if "Twitter as a back channel at an event" has not worked well for a long while, I still kinda tried to use it that way.

#debugging teams and orgs is a key skill a #staffeng / #staffplus levels. While it's more often associated with #engmanagement , IC tech leads should develop their skills in this area. It can help identifying systemic issues early on, and collaborate with EMs to resolve them.

Lately I am more interested in other things less technical. So I am proposing different kind of content for conferences. Whether you are a committee member or an organiser, please consider other kind or topics. Perhaps as important as the technical ones. #staffplus
