Today I met someone with #stage4 pancreatic #cancer.

They were diagnosed as such in 2017.

Small break in the Christmas prepping and wrapping this morning for my quarterly trip to the hospital to have my treatment and pick up my medication.

My Mom, a disabled #paramedic, is battling #Stage4 #breastcancer. Its hard asking for help, but the bills are piling up to cover treatment. She's still recovering from her 4th surgery after the MRSA infection after the botched doubled mastectomy & radiation treatments earlier on.

12 years ago, on June 6, 2007, we announced the first release of #CalculateLinux. The very first Calculate ever was a #Gentoo that came as a #Stage4 and featured its own installer written in Perl and distributed separately. The first Calculators had no choice between desktop environments, as it came with the #KDE desktop on board. Releases were monthly for the first year and half.

Дистрибутив распространялся в виде #Stage4 образа #Gentoo, имел собственный установщик написанный на Perl и распространяемый отдельно. Первая версия Calculate Linux была с рабочим столом #KDE. Первые 1,5 года релизы выходили каждый месяц. Целью создания дистрибутива была автоматизация процесса установки системы, создание рабочих мест с хранением профилей пользователей на сервере, перевод организации на Linux.
