The worst part of my cancer journey (diagnosed in 2005, now in temporary remission) is that I feel so helpless.

Sure, I'm getting good health care from my physicians, and I'm sustained by my wife's love, but...

Obviously, I know how this is going to end, but I have no map and no compass for getting there. I don't know to process the fear.

As another cancer guy once said to me, "I've already accepted my approaching death. It's the dying that's killing me."
