The picturesque seaside village of Staithes in North Yorkshire, England. Historically, Staithes is perhaps best-known for its links with Captain James Cook. In 1745, aged 16, James came to Staithes to work as a grocer's apprentice.
However, James soon fell in love with the sea he later moved to nearby Whitby where he joined the Royal Navy.

One of my favourite ever image, panorama of Staithes taken from Cowbar nab. Can't get there anymore as access has been blocked for safety. I got this printed as a 2metre wide canvas though most I've sold are 1metre ones. The light was beautiful when I shot this #Yorkshire #NorthYorkshire #Panorama #landscape #landscapephotography #staithes #nikon #nikonphotography #photography #photographer

As mentioned previously here is the world famous #DogLoup. Reputed to be the narrowest street in the UK. Dog Loup is a narrow passageway between two dwellings in #Staithes, #NorthYorkshire, taking you from the main Church Street to Gun Gutter, which in turn leads up steps to High Barrass. You won't get your car, bike or scooter down there...

Morning all. Bit dismal out there today. To brighten things up a bit here's a snap of some #Bluebells took on a trip to #Staithes in #NorthYorkshire a couple of years ago. Lovely little town. #photography

Good morning all! Happy Monday! There’s something eerie and special about old #boatyards and #staithes. This is Brancaster Staithe in #Norfolk. Another favourite place of mine. In the right light, with deliberate over-processing, it lends itself to becoming almost surreal. These building remnant won’t be standing for much longer
