After all 200+ CRAN packages that have been built on top of RStan or StanHeaders have updated their Stan codes to use the new syntax, RStan and StanHeaders can move to Stan 2.33 which supports only the new syntax.

Op vrijdag 1 september opent restaurant Loetje op de plek waar de afgelopen vijf jaar het kleurrijke restaurant Stan gevestigd was, op de hoek van de Antonlaan en de Steynlaan. Vanaf vrijdag kunnen Zeistenaren terecht in de sfeervolle locatie met populair terras om te genieten van klassieke Loetje-gerechten.

It goes from simple to complex:

Probably the most widely used is the old array syntax, e.g. `int arr[5];` gives an error. Use `array[5] int arr;` instead. For this version, all the deprecated features in your Stan code can be updated using the autoformatter. with `--canonicalize=deprecations`.
Please help testing the release candidate with your own models!

Two major new things are
- a new language type tuples, which allows, e.g., `eigendecompose()` to return both vectors and values with one function call
- a new variational inference algorithm Pathfinder (soon available also in interfaces such as CmdStanR)
