In #HongKong, 19 year-old pro-#democracy and #civicrights activist #TonyChung has been sentenced to four months in jail for unlawful assembly and for insulting #China's national flag.

Under the #RuleOfLaw, a new law cannot be used retrospectively - but who cares about such details in an authoritarian state, right?

Two more pro-#democracy legislators have been arrested in #HongKong this morning for their role in and participation at protests in the summer of 2019.
On of the main *reasons* for the arrest of #LamCheukTing and #TedHui was the violent incident at the #YuenLock MRT station, when #Triad goons in white shirts violently attacked protestors. In fact Ted Hui needed 18 stitches after that assault that has been rumored to have been organized by #China.
