I can never praise the genius of Stanislaw Lem enough.

In this vision of the future the powers that be use mind-controlling drugs (not "tech") to hide the fact that there is no real technological progress and that the world is dying.

Totaalisena -fanina olen ollut taipuvainen hra kirjailijan kannalle, ettei se ole onnistunut filmatisointi… ja olen ollut kykenemätön näkemään sitä itsenäisenä teoksena, ilman Lem-kytköstä. Ylistävät kuitenkin mestariteoksena, monet. Tarkovskin Stalkerista olen samaa mieltä, mutta tämä… Niin iso osa kirjan sävyistä katosi matkalla filmille.

William Hope Hodgson and his The Night Stand first published in 1912 belongs to my favourite (besides grim dark like Dark Souls) genre dying Earth. It’s a horror/fantasy novel.

And I still have to read newly bought Stanislaw Lem’s novels and Stephen King’s Fairy Tale.

It's... special and bold, depressing and weird (source material by ). But honestly, I fell asleep the first time 😅

It's not a episode nor a drama about what happens after the actress became digital property of film studio. Sadly, the body scan feels like a way to make the film grounded in the near future but it has no relevance for the story in my opinion.

is my favourite Polish writer. Great master of genre, philosopher and futurologist, is not like any other author from Europe. His books are masterpieces without one useless word - short and heavy. His tales are humorous and heartwarming, brilliant. If you didn’t know him, you’d probably have to read.
