I lost my childlike innocence when i realized that none of the enemy pilots in #starfox ever eject from their ships.

All of the bosses yell things at you over their comm line before their ships explode, but none of them eject or escape.

I was like 10 before i realized how grim that was

Yesterday I tried Goldeneye 007 on the Nintendo Switch Online N64 emulator, using one of these bad boys from Retro Fighters.

This controller basically has 2 modes: N64 controller for Switch or "regular bluetooth".

Goldeneye was fun but I wasn't satisfied with the trigger button being on the left side (or having the right trigger act as the Home button, depending on which mode I used) Fortunately, I found a way to remap the buttons to my liking.

So then I tried another game on the NSO emulator, Star Fox 64, and tried remaping some buttons on this game but it didn't work 100%. I couldn't get the C-up and C-right buttons to do anything.

It was at this moment that I realized that Nintendo's official N64 emulator is crap.

So then I went back to the good way of doing emulation: Retroarch (not on Switch).

This is my new N64-style #RetroFighters #Brawler64 Bluetooth Controller, and it's perfect for #StarFox64. Previously I gave up on playing this game on the #NintendoSwitch because the controls were unusable with the Switch's standard Pro Controller mappings.
