I ranted endless times on Tiwitter about how I hated the startup menu on #Windows11

After hearing about and trying out #Start11 the #Windows11 experience instantly becomes painless. Even though it cannot revive the live tiles from #Windows10, and the UI is a bit choppy bcause of the emulation, the customizable layout made it a lot easier to use.

This is why #Windows10 is my favourite Windows of all time, followed by XP

I really love the #Start11 start menu from #stardock. They allow me to easily arrange my frequently used apps. I wish #Microsoft made the #Windows11 start menu this useful.

I shouldn't have to install 3rd party applications to make common apps easy to access.

Newest Windows Update borked my Stardock #Start11 taskbar configurations, so for now, I uninstalled the Windows Update.

Just rebooted the ol' desktop. The #Start11 software had an update. 🖥️

@grail143 Yeah, that sort of thing gets asked a fair bit (I assume you mean vertically on the left-hand edge of the screen?), but at this stage it isn't possible without using 3rd party software like #Start11.
Although, I am definitely a fan of having it on the bottom and centered as I use Ultrawide monitors myself.

@gborn Das Startmenü finde ich ja auch denkbar beschissen: Seitenweises Scrollen, Symbole nebeneinander, Startknopf irgendwo in der Mitte. Nichts davon macht bei der Nutzung mit Maus und Tastatur Sinn, ich habe mir dann #Start11 gekauft.
Die integrierte Websuche wäre da für mich aber so ziemlich der letzte Anlass zum Meckern gewesen - denn das ist so ziemlich der einzige Aspekt, der mir bei der Entwicklung von Windows 10 auf #Windows11 in der Oberfläche positiv auffällt.
