Tried out the Live Composite mode on my #Olympus camera last night, with these #startrails looking to the south. I’m impressed with how well this works; it builds the image entirely in-camera. #astrophotography

Last night, I sat on the cliffs at Rhossili from 10:30pm until 1:30am. I set my camera up to take photos continuously and when I put them all together, this photo was created showing how the Earth rotates in relation to the stars. The star in the middle is Polaris, also known as the North Star.

#SkyWatch #Astrophotography #PhonePhotography Because the Earth rotates, long exposures of the night sky will show stars as streaks unless you use a mount that moves in the opposite direction as the Earth's rotation. It took some experimentation with my phone on a regular tripod to create these #StarTrails last night. It is comprised of 50 thirty second exposures. I love the different colors of the various stars. #StillLearning

Rapsfeld bei Nacht.
Habe die letzten Abende mal mit Sternspuren unter schlechten Bedingungen gespielt. Noch nicht ganz dunkel zu Beginn, dazu durchziehende Wolken und heller Mond. LiveComposit in der Kamera. Die Farben im Himmel, keine Ahnung, aber die sind so auch schon im unbearbeiteten Bild.
Das Ergebnis gefällt mir!

I was just taking a photo of something on my work tabletop when I noticed that the heavily scratched surface resembles #startrails or #space photography. No photoshop magic here other than color correction & darkening.
