If you’re a Trekkie, you’ve probably seen images like these come across your feed. Until recently, I dreamt that maybe someday I could eventually get myself to a paramount screening and see this IRL. A week ago today, this became my reality. I sat in a theatre about to watch trek for my first time on a big screen getting to soak in the title card from an IMAX screen instead of my phone. Maybe nerd dreams do get to come true.

Alright, I've maybe come around.

Seeing them all on the D was surprisingly emotional! And the first time #StarTrekPicard actually sounded like Picard to me!

Maybe it's the lighting and the carpet ♥️ So nice to be able to see again!

I feared that the Jack Crusher mystery would be really stupid but I liked it, cool plot and a valid reason that it has to be only oldies saving the day, that felt like it made sense!

Devastated about Shaw though, I miss him already.

I’m going to be completely honest, NCC-1701-D has and always will be my LEAST favorite NCC-1701, and it‘a not even close. There’s no competition.

AND YET! S3 EP9 of #Picard got me right in the fucking feelings. First time ever I was delighted to see that ungainly boat (and that’s coming from someone who wasn’t mad they buried the saucer off world). Well done, Picard. Well done.

I thought it was really touching when #Riker was talking to Deanna he told her he was thinking of giving Kestra his grandfather’s watch for her birthday while a vulture perched on his shoulder and making an off hand remark about seeing the new radiation room in Engineering.
