We had some #Covid on #StarTrekTheCruise, and the chat has rapidly been devolving with misinformed arguments...and this is among a generally pretty educated, pro-science, liberal crowd. *Generally.* So imagine what happens in the real world. Yikes. #StarTrek

We all got a towel Gorn on #StarTrekTheCruise, in reference to the towel animals we get. Sounds like a lot of them have ended up as dog toys. Don’t know if that was that intent. #StarTrek

One thing I like about #StarTrekTheCruise and cosplay is the amount of out-of-the-box thinking people engage in. Yes, there were a fair few general Bajorans at the Bajoran Gratitude Festival. And some Kai Opakas, Kai Winns...sure, easy enough.

But two separate pairs/groups decided to cosplay as Pah Wraith cultists handing out religious leaflets (arguably, one pushed the limit a tad by dressing a lot like Mormons). #StarTrek #StarTrekDS9

Apparently, there was a Zoom meeting yesterday to tell Doug (was he the only one from Disco we had?) about the cancellation. He announced it during his interview on board, which I had to miss, but a lot of us saw it online and shared. Is it bad that I hit my head on a wall after failing on a barstool in the Royal theater and one of my first thoughts is #TheStaircase and whether that was a fall or murder…? I listen to/watch too much true crime. 😂 #StarTrekTheCruise

Every #StarTrekTheCruise is different in some way, good or bad or otherwise, but every time, you’re seeing people you haven’t seen in a year and going “hey, it’s you, omg”. And hugging or reminding each other what your names are. 😂 #StarTrek

A lot of my takeaway from #StarTrekTheCruise this year is that I’ll never get it totally right…figured I’d bring battery packs because my battery ran down a lot last time. Not much need now. Figured having included Starlink internet would be a boon, but social media has been a bit dead for me since Twitter…so who knows?
