I don't wish to seem smug. But I'm worried about how #Stasibook #Google #Amazon are abusing my friends' data. I try not to use proprietary services, & to the extent I may do I use easily implemented counter surveillance measures. Block Google, FB, etc in #uBlock. There is a very usable internet without surrendering your freedom. Take responsibility, learn, share your knowledge. Stop spreading the perception this is inevitable. I make compromises - but I own them.

@stopgopfox I imagine there are a far higher % of people in fediverse that have a love/hate relationship & currently or recently active on Twitter, than those who have a #Stasibook account. FB is irredeemably evil. It is loosing users to #TikTok, which is equally bad. Whereas, the fedi is gaining people who have been users of Twitter providing stuff of value.
