@sister_ratched Finally gave in and bought a paid family history membership to ancestry, and reconnected with my Mum’s brother’s ex. (I hadn’t seen or spoken with her in maybe thirty years?) The ex had done some of that side of the family history, and I was able to follow up on documentation.
I’m far more interested in filling out stories than just the names and dates, though - #Trove, #StateArchives, and lots more research to get through!
