I’m listening to #Stateside on #MichiganRadio and they’re describing the changes to #Michigan beach condition flag system and I am kinda giggling.

For 10 solid summers as a kid and many various shorter periods sin’e, I have swam in Lake Michigan without ever seeing a lifeguard or warning flag. Now I hear that 2-4’ waves merit a yellow flag??? Over 4’ gets a *RED* flag? Wow. My sibs and I must have been dodging bullets all those great days circa big storms when the waves were more like 8'.
