I'm going to say a pretty banal thing, but in my opinion, neither #static nor #dynamic #typing is a magical secret sauce that'll make your application scalable.
Static typing gives a lot of nice benefits (documentation, autocomplete, better verification) but static type systems can become verbose, unwieldy and hard to understand. Dynamic typing lets you move faster but needs supplements with good testing.
IMO type inference and optional typing are both good approaches.

Hab im Blogbeitrag zum #RenderHook zu #Hugo endlich nen Downloadlink für render-image.html und figure.html hinterlegt. Hatte ich damals vergessen.

Beides sorgt dafür, dass Hugo einbebundene Bilddateien (per Markdown Syntax UND per figure) automatisch in Varianten mit kleinerer Auflösung erzeugt, um Traffic zu sparen.

Dabei wird das Originalbild zum Verlinken benutzt und mehrere #Webp Dateien für verschiedene Auflösungen erstellt.

@lauren If you are using #docker and are serving the static files from a webserver like #nginx or #caddy you may have forgotten to delete the volume for #static files, mounted to /opt/mastodon/public.
If deleted it will be recreated on start from the corresponding folder in the mastodon-web container and shared to the webserver ro.
(I just wondered the same and that’s how I fixed it…)

I was using ghost blog platform/engine for a long time and then suddenly (in one of the updates) it broke and I couldn't figure out what is the problem besides the error message that says nothing useful. I did not find anything in the forums, etc.

So I get frustrated and write myself a tool that extracts all my posts from the ghost.db (sqlite3) and made me a simple HTML static page :)

Nymphal ticks the size of a sesame seed must master the secrete of snagging a host even though they can't jump. But the electrically charged potential created by hosts walking through brush may help the numphs make jump using static electricity. "Using statically charged rabbit fur and other charged materials in the lab, researchers were able to pull castor bean ticks (Ixodes ricinus) across gaps of air three to four times their body length (as seen in the video)." The minimum quantum of static needed to lift a tick is within the estimated amount humans + other mammals build up by rubbing against blades of grass as they walk through a field. Higher static charges could theoretically pull ticks several centimeters. More worrisome news: "Lice, mites, and even fleas may use electricity to help ensure they reach their much more mobile meals."
