Medium's instance is a good example of a bad faith corporate instance. Most people there post links to medium articles, and it acts as a funnel to medium. Bladerunner.social blocked it from day one as part of a wait-and-see approach to what might happen. Nothing bad happened but it was just a funnel in to a closed platform, so it was never unsuspended.
Nothing of value was lost to our #steakholders.
This is a deliberately small instance, but its our little space and choice is important.

Alien neologisms tend to form a meaning of their own, or more simply to just remain hard to memorize for non-native speakers of the original language.
