Today I feel much better, probably due to a refreshing night of sleep, a cozy live stream yesterday with lots of laughs or maybe because I already had my first #coffee :geralt_lol: pick one.

This morning I have a few house chores to do, then I'll probably relax with the #SteamDeck. I've been hooked on #GraveyardKeeper lately. I'll also install #100DaysWineSimulator because I never finished it properly.

What are your plans for today?

Since my replies are full of people missing the point (it's like a two-second meme is not nuanced!):

Of course I don't think #Flatpak, #Flathub, #FreeDesktop, etc. are evil. 😂

But we should be happy to use #SteamDeck as a way to get the cool stuff we're working on into the hands of millions of new folks. And we should be happy to use it as an example when talking to app developers we want to support #Linux.

Perhaps this is an alternative interpretation.

The #Flatpak is a community effort, automated from the official release. That feels a bit off for your password manager; thing that holds all your secrets.

A community post from 2021 asking them to maintain it only got 211 votes, 117 likes, and 46 comments but over 10k views. I and other #OpenSource folks commented and said we'd be happy to help, but never heard back.

Maybe give the post some attention?

Diciamo anche che non è proprio il top aver iniziato #Starfield su #SteamDeck, ma tant'è. L'ho ripreso su PC, ma comunque è evidente qualche problema di ottimizzazione su una 6600XT (a quanto ho capito, è proprio un problema diffuso https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7jiwQsEWJ0).

Si confermano alcuni problemi: IA scadente, costanti caricamenti che interrompono il flusso del gameplay, navigazione nei menù richiesta per la qualunque.

Settimana prossima torno a Como e ci rimetterò le grinfie sopra per andare un po' avanti con Dragon Quest XI e foooorse Elden Ring (boh) ma tutto considerato direi che la FOMO da Baldur's Gate 3 o Starfield l'ho tenuta parecchio a bada (anche se BG3 questo inverno sicuro me lo prenderò)

initial thoughts on #starfield

1. the game could use a bit more work on making itself intuitive. maybe it's just because I'm not used to it but it seems a bit clunky to me.

2. the game runs alright on the #steamdeck at 720p/low if you have an overclock. I've got mine OCd and the TDP set to 21 watts and so far it seems to be maintaining over 30fps (hitting 40 at times)

3. there's a lot of room left for optimization I suspect, but that's fine.

4. GOTY contender, possible GOTY winner.
