Nice day out at the Eisenbahnmuseum Lokschuppen Aumühle just east of it's not big, and today was a 'normal' open day, so you show yourself around, but the children love climbing into the old engines

@Lizards_cast Like so many “nerds,” I have many passions. So difficult to pick a “favorite,” but I shall say . Any trains, really, but especially /#SteamEngines. in general shaped so much of American, European, and most other continents’ history (history is another of my passions) that so many folks just don’t know about. Dying or dead cities in the middle of nowhere? Railroads. Mid-20th century urban decay? Railroads. Late 19th century labor violence? RAILROADS. Big business owning government? If in the late 18th to early/mid 20th centuries, yes - railroads.

Another blast from the past, this time it's K1 2005 (62005) being shunted by one of ICI Wilton's ex BR Class 07 deisel shunters. I believe the K1 was about to receive a major overhaul from the NELPG team.

SP 3689 leading extra 4334. Notice WW2 era light deflectors. A troop train? No notes on this one. Location unknown, WW2 era? Circa 1943? Photographer likely Bill Darrough, from the Jack Darrough Collection. Used with permission.
SP 3689 is a Baldwin, F-4 2-10-2. Reportedly: SP 3689 was builtin 1922 retired and scrapped in 1957. SP 4334 is a 4-8-2 MT-3, built by SP Sac. Shops in 1925, vacated & scrapped in 1956.

Got this one wrong. Last week set up camera at the end of Oakworth station figuring it would stop short as it only had 3 carriages. However got it wrong and stopped on the crossing. Quickly had to swing around and managed to get this one shot (15sec exposure) before it set off. So not a great shot but better than it could have been I suppose!

On the 9th November I went to the RPS in Bristol for my Associateship assessment. Very nervous and standard was very high indeed. However, I was fortunate enough to pass it and gain my ARPS and very happy indeed! This was the panel I submitted. Sadly it hasn't yet made me a better photographer LOL
