Waarnemen – de Grote Beer
De Grote Beer bevat een asterisme, een verzameling sterren, dat kenmerkend is voor de sterrenhemel op het noordelijk halfrond. Het steelpannetje oftewel de Ploeg is een deel van de Grote Beer dat de achterste helft van de romp van de beer en zijn (vreemd) lange staart vertegenwoordigt.

My personal highlight was His Excellency Lynn Young, permanent ambassador to the OAS from Belize being invited up to join the ensemble for the classic “Pan By Storm” by director Liam Teague and proceeding to tear it up on lead tenor with the kids!

Een man die met een metaaldetector op zoek was naar een nazischat die in het Gelderse Ommeren begraven zou zijn, dacht dat hij op een landmijn was gestuit. De politie en explosievendienst kwamen opdraven en concludeerden dat het voorwerp een steelpan was.
