I used the #OpenSCAD generator to get these perfect tracks for my enclosure. I can't remeber the exact reason why I did it, but I think it iust looked better and due to the dimensions that I wanted, using the normal orientation, I had less center pieces, this was just the best solution for my height I wanted.

I actually don't have many problems due to this, as all my attachments thus far have been my own designs. So, if you will be doing your own designs, the orientation doesn't matter. Also, if you are using wider tracks, then you also won't be restricted as I am, I basically just wanted the cneter positions. The sides just look nice. You'll see that the sides are all chopped in half and aren't actually useful.

I either use the #OpenSCAD generator, or I just take the template #STEP files, and then I change them for my designs.

Sometimes I try them all but in the end even if #gCAD3D has its flaws it remains the only one that manages to export #STEP or #IGES files that can be opened by #Plasticity, I'm talking about #DXF drawings, I have to do so many of these steps it's incredible that #Moi3D, #FreeCAD or Cad Assistant all fail and a 1.3mb program does the job just fine.

If someone need a simple #propellers and #planes generators there is a nice parametric #opensource application that export geometries into #IGES or #STEP.
