It was written and composed in 1968 in #FortLauderdaleFlorida, on a boat named the Mayan, owned by Crosby, who composed the music, while Kantner and Stills wrote most of the lyrics.

It was featured on the band's #DaylightAgain album and was released as a single in September 1982. Stephen Stills sings lead throughout, with #GrahamNash joining on the second verse. Because David Crosby did not reunite with Stills and Nash until the album was well underway.

Musician and singer #DavidCrosby has died at 81. Crosby was a guitarist and sang with #TheByrds from 1964-1967 before founding a supergroup -- after being dismissed from the band -- with #StephenStills and #GrahamNash (#CrosbyStillsAndNash), that later added #NeilYoung (#CrosbyStillsNashAndYoung). Crosby also had a solo career and worked with various members of CSN&Y on separate occasions. Crosby also appeared in #Backdraft, #Thunderheart, #Hook, #ChicagoHope, #Ellen, and #TheSimpsons.

But if you spend any time isolating David Crosby’s vocals, you get a different level of appreciation of vocal vibrato. After all is said and done, my favorite CSN songs are mostly #DavidCrosby written.
