Der #Marantz #Receiver aus den 70ern von meinem Vater hatte es: „Quadro“. Leider hatte mein Vater aber nur zwei Lautsprecher. Seit dem ist das in meinem Kopf: #Quadrophonie anstatt #Stereo. (Mittels #QuadPanner #Modul.)

Und jetzt ist es in meinem Mini-Studio, noch zwei gebrauchte #Abhörboxen bestellt, die zu meinen guten alten von #Fostex passen und das #Synthesizer Gezwischer aus #vcvRack kreist mir psychedelisch um die Birne herum.

Die Filmwelt phantasiert von Dolby 5.1 #Surround, aber abseits vom echten #Kino macht das keinen Sinn mehr. der Konsument nutzt heutzutage die #Bluetooth #Lärmwurst, und die ist bestenfalls pseudeo-stereo. Somit liegt das lizenzfreie und konzeptionell einfache Quadro näher für die Idee einer Kunscht-Installation.

This was an interesting, short read with illustrations about true #stereo #bass #guitar #effectspedals.

I've never used any of these pedals and am not interested in the current line up as the types I'd use do not appear to have MIDI support.
Good to see small companies putting out stuff that seems good, though!

That era where #music was learning to use #stereo and they just put half the instruments in one ear and the other half in the other.

Fucking awful. I turn my setup to #mono whenever I listen to #coltrane especially if I'm using earbuds.

Alternatively, is there a good wireless solution that I can plug 3.5mm into both my #stereo and something else.

I have a radio adapter around here somewhere that broadcasts over local FM radio waves from a 3.5mm port but I don't know what the latency is like, or where it is.
