Das erste stereoskopische Bild habe ich für das Betrachten mit Kreuzblick erstellt, das zweite für das Betrachten mit Parallelblick.

Wer von euch keine dieser Blicktechniken beherrscht, schaut sich die Blüte einfach so an; in 2D. Sie ist dann trotzdem schön. 🙂

EN: A flower, beautifully three-dimensional.

I created the first stereoscopic image for viewing with a cross eye view, the second for viewing with a parallel view.

If you don't know any of these viewing techniques, just look at the flower; in 2D. It's beautiful anyway. 🙂

What a treasure! I've been a fan of #stereoscopy since I got my first #ViewMaster in the late 1960s. I later bought a FujiFilm Finepix #3D #camera and have been having fun with it ever since. I think the #HolmesStereoscope like the one you've shown is still the best way to view 3D pictures. I made an #OpenSource #Windows app for manipulating digital stereo images and a paint.net template to make #stereograms.

Visiting family and discovered they have a stereoscope and a batch of stereoscopic images from the late 1800s.

Thoroughly enchanted by it and them.

Going to get the scanner out to digitise the images properly (not just a snapshot on my phone as this one is).

Excellent wee project for the autumn.

But although these photos are regularly posted to Reddit where people can #freeview them, it would be so much better, and easier for those who can't freeview, to see the photos via an app for the #Quest2.

Does anyone have any #3D #BLURAY watching experience. I used to have a #NVIDIA #3DVISION 2 setup with a compatible ACER. Does VR have good 3d moviewatching, the glasses were okay but dark, the experience on a VIZIO 52" was pretty good. Any tips to getting into that without buying a new 3dVision system? #stereoscopic #stereo3d

Watching theme park videos with Pulfritch glasses. I know it's only supposed to work for motion in one direction, but for videos of moving along a track, it works well enough to create a suggestion of #stereoscopic vision -- my brain tends to ignore all the stuff that doesn't work, rather than create pseudostereo effects.

With right eye darkened, whenever camera turns to the right, I get enhanced 3D; if it turns to the left, it works but is a little diminished. YMMV

Hi from Taiwan. Just for fun, I took the right and left photos, swapped them, and was able to render a #stereoscopic image/ #stereoview.

It's a paper theatre scene. I layered flat images in a 3D space then exported using Blender's stereo rendering.

If you're new to crossview: view the image like a magic eye picture. Slightly cross your eyes and try to focus your gaze on the 'middle' picture that appears between the existing 2.
