Super interesting, very exhaustive and terrifically fun. #SteveAlbini is a cartoon, #NakedRaygun are amazing, #WaxTrax for ever (up until the "Front 242 Problem," that is).

Big Black's "Passing Complexion" features ringleader (and anti #steelydan purveyor) #stevealbini. Featuring one of the greatest guitar parts of the decade (dadadadadadadada WAH WAH!!!) it almost doesn't matter what remains. However the tale of a person being able to "pass" as another race is almost funny as is the "he had what THEY call/passing complexion!" refrain #80s #indie

An album that I bought as a teen and have listened to continuously - the third in a series - #InfluentialAlbums #BigBlack #SteveAlbini #SongsAboutFucking - played this to dust. Air guitared like crazy. Immense, snotty, full of relentless aggression but also tunes… We called this guitar sound ‘rocket guitar’ but never quite managed to nail it in our College band (feel free to join in using the #InfluentialAlbums hashtag)
